The Environmental express HotBlock features large batching, with 54 sample positions to ensure high throughput. Composed of Teflon-coated graphite the metal-free HotBlocks eliminate corrosion and any possibility of corresponding sample contamination. HotBlocks have been approved by the EPA to perform EPA methods 200.2 and 200.7 and Mercury preparation methods 245.1, 245.2 and 245.7.

HotBlocks use low cost, disposable digestion vessels that speed up and simplify digestion procedures. These disposable vessels can also serve as graduated cylinders and sample storage containers. Additionally the digestion vessels contain no detectable background contaminants and do not require acid washing prior to use.

Having digested the ore with the HotBlock, the FilterMate provides you with a convenient and inexpensive method of filtration. The FilterMate fits directly inside the HotBlock digestion vessels and is pushed through the liquid being filtered to the bottom of the vessels with a detachable plunger. After the filtration is complete, the plunger is removed and discarded while the filter assembly remains in the bottom of the vessels. This arrangement does not interfere with storage or use of the vessels in an autosampler.
